City Government Achieves Highest Score in Indonesian Digital Society Index

Jakarta Provincial Government has once again achieved brilliant achievements in the digital transformation sector.

In the 2025 Indonesian Digital Society Index (IMDI) report released by the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi), Jakarta achieved the highest national score with 56.97. Second place is Bangka Belitung (52.15) and third is West Java (52.05).

This award was presented directly by the Minister of Communication and Digital, Meutia Hafid, at the 2025 IMDI ​​Award event held at Ganara Art Space, FX Sudirman, Jakarta, Thursday (10/2).

Head of Jakarta Communication, Informatics and Statistics Agency, Budi Awaluddin stated his appreciation of this achievement.

He said that this award is the result of collaborative work by all parties, including the government, industry players, and the community who actively utilize digital technology.

"We would like to express our gratitude for the support of all parties. We will continue to strive to improve the quality of services and the use of digital technology for the welfare of the Jakarta people," he said, Friday (10/3).

As for information, IMDI 2025 measures the level of development of digital society through four main pillars namely Infrastructure and Ecosystem, Digital Skills, Empowerment, and Employment.

The survey was conducted in July-August 2025, involving more than 18,000 individual respondents and 11,000 industry respondents. It also integrated the Digital Literacy Index (DLI) indicators to obtain a comprehensive picture of the development of Indonesia's digital society.
